Be the Change You Want to See...
A big focus of BlogPaws is giving back to the community. And of course, my personal mission is to raise awareness and funds for animal welfare organizations and hopefully inspire others to take action in their own communities.
One of the sessions at BlogPaws was titled, “Be the Change You Want to See” and it was all about showing people that we all can make a difference, no matter how big or small. All you have to do is do something. Anything. Volunteer at a shelter. Send money. Foster a dog or cat. Donate blankets or paper towels. Start a blog. Speak out against puppy mills. Whatever you can do will make an impact.
Lynn Haigh, the creator of the Twitter #pawpawty, Jane Harrell, from Petfinder.com, Dr. V. from Pawcurious and Dorian Wagner from Your Daily Cute, gave an amazing presentation about their own experiences just “jumping in” and taking action.
AND they have challenged attendees and the community at large to do the same. Check out the details at Pawcurious.
Lynn created this inspiring video that made everyone cry but that drove home the point that if we each do a little bit, we can change the world.
Enjoy! xoxo.
