Placed forehead squarely on forehead of female staff member and pushedandpushedandpushed. Made sure to purr the whole time in order to appear cute and lovable. Also made sure to make my nose really wet so cold nose wetness got on her face too. Hee hee.

It’s a good start to the week when I am not in trouble for waking up the staff. Today, “Perfect Pugsley” was the bad one!

He woke up the staff by clawing on the wicker clothes hamper, even after he was told not to!

I, however, sat on the pillow, purring sweetly, knowing it was only moments before BREAKFAST time!

Now, lest you think I am a big fat ginger and white meanie for letting him get in trouble, just remember I AM ALWAYS THE ONE who expedites breakfast and believe me, Pugsley never refuses the BREAKFAST that I instigate! It’s time he pulls his getting-in-trouble weight around here.

Even though I was VERY sleepy this morning, I climbed on female staff member’s stomach and sat down. Meowed. Scooted up on her chest. Meowed. Scooted up on her neck. Meowed and meowed. Began furiously rubbing head against her cheek and neck, and meowed and meowed and meowed and meowed. Bingo! BREAKFAST was on the way.

Go Team Persian! Today, Pugsley and I worked together to wake up the staff. I stood with both paws on female staff member’s upper arm and meowed and meowed and meowed, while Pugsley sneezed ten times in a row. It’s impossible to sleep through that!

Of course, Pugsley was not sneezing on purpose to wake up staff. In fact, if that goody-two-shoes knew that he was partially responsible for the wake up, he’d be horrified. Don’t tell him.

I said, GET UP!

The alarm clock is my friend although it usually doesn’t have to do its job because I do it first! Today, I thank you, Mr. Alarm Clock. I would bring you some BREAKFAST but oops! I sorry. I ate it all.

This morning, focused on male staff member. Conducted usual sniffing and nudging to head and then sat furry butt on staff’s cheek, making sure tail rested across his upper lip, much like a Romeo mustache. Genius! He got up right away and BREAKFAST was served!

Hey, dudes. Whatever it takes!

NONE! The loud, Romeo-and-Pugsley-terrorizing, walking/running creature woke up the staff at 5:30 a.m. so she got blamed, not me! This was nice for a change.

Am pretty sure she took this one for the team after I patiently allowed her to do this all weekend:

This only works when staff is sleeping face down into pillow and access is not immediate. Gingerly slide paw between pillow and staff’s face so that full furriness is tickling staff’s nose and mouth. Pause. Pull out paw and repeat until staff wonders what the @#%$ is going on.

A note of caution: with this technique, one must take great care not to smother staff. A smothered staff member = no BREAKFAST.

When used properly, these things work wake up magic!
