Wednesday Wake up Featuring PP

Today's bad boy.

Today was one of my FAVE types of wake up days. You can probably guess that it has something to do with Perfect Pugsley getting in trouble.

Let me begin by saying you guys KNOW the Pugman is my BFF and I don’t really wish him any harm. But man is it annoying when I am always getting in trouble and Pugsley just sits there like a little angel. It’s hard being bad all the time.

But this is not a discussion of roles and responsibilities of feline team members. This is a discussion about how BREAKFAST came to be this morning.

Yesterday the staff manager was stacking up books that she’s planning to give away. Sometimes she’s not that bright and stacked them high and precariously on top of the dresser where Pugs really likes to perch. You see where I am going with this? Yep. This morning Pugsley jumped up on his dresser and accidentally knocked off the books and they came crashing down, scaring the bekitty out of the sleeping staff…..and Pugsley himself!

I almost wish I'd thought of it myself.

Okay, I admit I was startled too. But I was ecstatic to see that the morning’s wake up process was underway and BREAKFAST would be forthcoming without my having to lift a paw or utter a MEOW.

Good job, Pugman!

Holiday Shopping AND Helping Pets

Christmas is in full swing at our house. The staff has decorated the place and keeps bringing home new bags for us to investigate. Missing this year: fake garland. Last year I accidentally ate some (it looked REAL) so no more.

The female staff also says we can only have a tiny little fake Christmas tree because of all three kids in the house (meaning the Tail-Pulling Creature, Pugsley and me). I guess she thinks we’re going to get ourselves into trouble with something larger.

There are a lot of amazing programs happening during the holidays to support shelters. One program that is easy for anyone to participate in is the Bring Pets Home “Shop to Help Shelters” program.

Bring Pets Home has partnered with some major retailers like Walmart, Sephora, Macys, Amazon, Nordstrom and many more, who have agreed to donate a portion of any sale made that comes through the Bring Pets Home web site to the Bring Pets Home Foundation which helps shelters across the United States.

This seems like a no brainer to me. If you’re shopping online, you might as well click on over to the Bring Pets Home holiday shopping portal and conduct your shopping from there. Anywhere from 1-6% of your purchase will go to help pets. As I always say, every dollar counts!

AND Bring Pets Home is also conducting a sweepstakes where you could win $5,000 for yourself AND $5,000 for the shelter of your choice. That’s a pretty sweet deal.

Remember, you have to click to the retailer’s site from the Bring Pets Home site in order for it to count.

Wednesday Wake Up Tactic

You may not know this but Pugsley is THE LOUDEST groomer EVER. He snorts and sneezes and gulps and slurps and generally makes so much noise that the whole house knows when he’s taking a bath. This morning, he decided to groom in the staff’s big bed. At 6 a.m.

Woah, Nellie, did HE get in trouble! He he. They couldn’t even blame me for waking them up today because it was so clearly the Pugman.

Of course, all he has to do is look cute and all is forgiven. Sigh.
