Romeo the Cat’s New Year’s Resolutions

December 31, 2012

By Romeo

1. Get better spots on the pillow.
It always seems I get screwed when it comes to bedtime. I always end up with only about ¾ of a pillow and that’s not cool.

2. Quit barfing on staff’s stuff.

I know it’s wrong, but I get such satisfaction out of leaving barf piles in awesome places. Last night I barfed on the staff’s new leopard print slippers. She discovered it this morning and….let’s just say she wasn’t pleased. I would like to be better about this.

3. Spend more time with Running-yelling-iPadplaying-bouncing-scooting-hamsandwicheating Creature.

She’s getting really good at petting. I like it.

4. Blog more.
I’m super duper sorry, dear readers, that I have not been blogging as much as I’d like. We all know whose fault it is but we wont mention any names…staff.

5. Help more pets in need.
This year, I’m happy to report that we were able to make donations of $500+ to 11 different rescues or shelters due to this blog. We would like to increase the amount of help we can offer. More on that soon. What can you do to help us keep this resolution? Keep reading! More readers, means more traffic, means more donations. Love you, mean it.

What are your New Year’s resolutions?

The staff here are also bad at making and keeping new year’s resolutions. That said, we are inspired by your donations to numerous rescues and hope to use you as a role model in the new year. Our staff saw fit to share our home with three canine rescues. While we don’t love the idea, we admit they have grown on us. We hope to be able to help some cats and dogs in need as a result.

Romeo, we kitties are perfect – we don’t need New Years resolutions!

Dear Romeo,
You and your staff have so much to be proud of and happy for.
Many blessings to you and yours in the coming year.
Hugs all round,
Carolyn and the rescue Persians

Romeo, those are great New Year resolutions. We ‘specially like how many donations you have made. That’s awesome!

We’re kind of like Jan – remember the New Year’s Resolution until January 2nd and then it’s history. You have some mighty loft resolutions in mind pal. Good luck with them. I would be careful with the barfs tho. Staff might start starving you or giving you yukky food – that happened to me. I’m now on sensitive stomach food for kibble, and it’s not very tasty!

Ah, the slippers was a nice touch. Keep up the good work. Maybe then Staff will remember you’re around and blog for you more often.

We don’t make resolutions since we would forget them faster than it takes to think them up. :)
