Each week, we feature a new multi-pet household and today we’re featuring….a household of black cats! Our friend Bernadette over at the Creative Cat is an incredibly talented artist and blogger. If you aren’t familiar with her blog, you should definitely check it out.
Bernadette is the dedicated staff to not one, not two, not even three or four but FIVE beautiful black cats who she calls “Mimi (their mom) and The Fantastic Four (Mimi’s kittens-now-cats).” And boy, are they! The “four” are Sunshine, Bean, Mewsette and Giuseppe.
They all serve as muses for some of Bernadette’s artwork. And, in honor of Black Cat Appreciation Day, Bernadette is auctioning off one of her beautiful prints and offering free shipping on all other orders taken this week – custom and in her Etsy shop. Black cats are my favorites! Though there are a handful of superstitious beliefs linked with them. Would you know the story behind these? Or maybe we can blame it on pop culture. You know, witches paired with black cats, wizards, etc.

Even from behind, I could recognize that furry crew! I love reading Bernadette’s blog every day and seeing the beautiful photos, drawings and paintings inspired by them. KC hasn’t inspired me to pick up a paintbrush yet (which is probably a good thing), but he definitely adds joy to my life. Happy Black Cat Appreciation Day!
