Marlin! Saved by Cats Exclusive

July 2, 2012

A friend of mine, Dorian over at Your Daily Cute, posted a sad post the other night about a cat whose time was running out in a Florida shelter. Dorian was lamenting that she receives many alerts about cats who need help, who don’t have much time, who need a home. Marlin was one of these cats who really got to her. And her post was so, so sad.

But guess what? The story has a happy ending! Dorian learned that Marlin had been saved! And, in part by one of her favorite rescues and OUR July FURPOWER organization, Cats Exclusive!

From Dorian’s post:
UPDATE Saturday, 9:55 am: Another comment on the post! More tears from me! This time, happy tears…

MARLIN IS STILL ALIVE AND I’M ON MY WAY TO PICK HIM UP NOW:) CATS EXCLUSIVE WILL BE TREATING HIM TODAY AND SUZANNE WILLIAMS HAS AGREED TO TAKE HIM AND TREAT HIM AFTERWARD…..PLEASE ANY DONATIONS WOULD BE APPRECIATED BY CALLING CATS EXCLUSIVE AT 954-975-8349. THANK YOU

This is the type of incredible happy endings that Cats Exclusive helps make happen. We are so happy to be supporting these guys this month.

Since 1979, Cats Exclusive, a non-profit in Margate, FL has been helping cats in need. Since it was founded, Cats Exclusive has taken in more than 6,000 cats and helped them find loving, safe homes.

At their facility they care for up to sixty cats at a time,

In September of 2007, Cats Exclusive launched a low-cost clinic, which offers many services that you would find at your local veterinarian’s office, including spaying/neutering, vaccines, dentals, and other routine surgeries. The organization has fixed over 10,000 cats. Proceeds from the clinic help fund Cats Exclusive’s other important rescue and rehoming work.

YAY Cats Exclusive. Keep up the wonderful things you are doing!

WE read that story and it was so great that Marlin got saved. That Cats Exclusive really sounds like such a great place. Thank COD for places like that and any other kill=free shelter. Wish there were more of them.

Yay! I love Cats Exclusive! And Marlin. :) So, so, so happy he got out. Big thanks to his other rescuers, too — Suzanne from a group called Cat Crusade will be the one fostering and caring for him until he gets back to perfectly healthy again!
