ohohohohoh…I am just learning how to use my voice to make Dad and Mom do stuff…and NOW…I am learning I can also use my body too! So, here’s what I have been doing the last couple of mornings….and sooooo luvluvluv doing thing….first it is 5AM, great time of day, dont’cha think???? Anyways, so first I sleep between Mom and Dad…but at 5AM I walk ACROSS Mom (I have never been brave enuff to do that!!!) and get on her other side and put my face about 5 inches from hers and say ‘MMMEEEEOOOWWWW” WAY LOUD…works pretty good actually…still purrfecting my technique
you just brought back some great memories!! My Bobo used to do that!
Cody doesn’t….(well at least not to ME lol) “Daddy” feeds Cody breakfast and I feed him snacks and dinner (smart of me ‘eh?) so he wakes up my husband and not me!
My tiger Timmy has laryngitis (who knew cats could get laryngitis?) so he woke me up with a paw to the cheek and a meow that sounds more like rawk, or “duck with sore throat”. Scary but effective.
Today was a Harry wake up. Usually he delgates all wake ups to Frankie, but today Harry decided to nibble on my arm (very gently) to wake me up. He then proceeded to lay on my chest purring while I petted him. If I dared to stop with the petting, I got another bite on my arm.
Frankie does the nose wake up. And I can’t say no to those blue eyes, so up I go. *sigh* I’m such a sucker. . .
I did my wild man impression by running a hundred mph thru the bedroom, up onto the windowsill (making sure to hit each and every vertical blind so that they “clack” back and forth loudly) then to the chair, the ottoman and finally the bed, landing on Mom’s chest just long enough to launch myself off and start over again! I think she loves this game because she got right up!
WE don’t use the nose, we just walk circle around Mom in the bed, then we knead her, then we do flying leaps from the table to the bed and meowing helps sometimes. She ignores us most of the time but then finally gives up and gets up. We will sure try that nose deal. Love the drawing. Take care.

By a finely orchestrated melody of seven cats singing in an ear piercing and relentless chorus of meows….

i just bent down and met M’s eye ball to eye ball! it got her attention.
Ah, yes, the nose. That one works very well. We successfully employed “the yowl” and “the paw to the forehead” this morning…
