Who’s Your Furry Friend?

May 2, 2012

We = cute.

I am so pleased to announce our new sponsor, Pets Add Life (PAL)! PAL is an initiative hosted by the American Pet Products Association to encourage multiple pet ownership and help decrease the number of homeless pets.

This is right up our alley! Obviously, Pugsley and I are super happy to be co-managers of this household. Yes, I am more vocal but, truth be told, The Pug offers a lot of great insight and guidance in the day-to-day management of our home. So, we believe multiple pet ownership leadership is a great thing. So Pugsley and I agreed to be PAL Furry Friends Ambassadors.

Pets Add LifePAL has generously agreed to help us support our monthly FURPOWER rescues with a donation to help them do the important work of adopting out more pets!

You’ll be hearing much more about PAL throughout the year. In the meantime, please do moi a favor and go and “like” them on Facebook and follow them on Twitter at @petsaddlife.

We do want to tell you about a fun new feature here on Romeo the Cat: Furry Friend Fridays, sponsored by PAL.

Every Friday, we will feature one of your stories about the joys of having multiple pets in your home. Send us the funny, wonderful or sweet story of your multiple pets, how they came to live with you and how they get along. They can be all kinds of pets, not just cats! Please send a photo or two as well! Please send to the staff at caroline(at)romeothecat(dot)com.

We can’t wait to read your stories.

Welcome, PAL and thank you!

I agree with taking in strays, we have 8 cats that we have enclosed our porch for, they have their own heat and a/c. We have taken them to be fixed, as well as as many strays still running around, these we trap have fixed and return to our neighborhood. We have at least 2 more female cats who have kittens right now, that when we can trap them we will take to have fixed as well. We have 2 male cats we befriended as babies and they are on the list to be fixed as well. We can’t take in any more because we would not have room for them, we spend a lot of money on cat food, we feed all the strays who come for breakfast and dinner. I wish people would have their pets/strays fixed, that would cut the stray population way down.

That is terrific that Pal is going to be a sponsor. You do such great work and that is exciting to have such a good sponsor. I am going to send you a story about all of our cats here. Take care.
