This is one of my all-time favorite photos of Pugsley…Captain Pugsley that is.
Despite his typical schedule of sleeping-eating-snoring, the Pugman is actually quite the little adventurer.

Sorry, meant to type His left paw goes up, not He’s left paw goes up. If there are any typo’s you don’t like or grammar problems, fix them up as you wish in the poem. I have a headache and I always mess up typing when my head hurts. Oh, by the way the poem is yours to do with as you wish. I don’t copyright them, because I feel the pictures I see in blogs inspire them, so the poems I give to the photographer/blog owner to do with as they wish.
Mini Poem: Captain Pugsley’s Car Ride
Captain Pugsley is on the go,
navigator of 77 South to North Carolina from Ohio.
He’ll Meow when there’s a bend in the road,
and get stiff as a board if there is a jaywalking or should I say – hopping toad.
He’s left front paw goes up when I drive too fast,
both of his front paws go up when I give the gas petal a quick passing blast.
He’ll growl if he thinks I’m starting to tailgate,
but I can distract him with a snack that I use as cat calming bait.
The sun beating in the car makes Captain Pugsley warm and sleepy,
then he’s out for the count and I become a bit weepy.
My navigator is in dream land
and I start to feel like a one man band.
My companion is not listening to me,
talk about that man I passed in a truck that looks like an America’s Mosted Wanted Creepy.
Captain Pugsley doesn’t see the places I point out along the road,
he doesn’t even stir when I yell, “TOAD, TOAD, TOAD.”
Ahh well, we’ll be in North Carolina very soon,
then tonight fur ball you can tell me about your dream of being the first cat on the moon.
Tee! Hee! That is one of my favorite positions when driving!
Kisses
Nellie
What a team. Romeo wakes up the Staff and Pugsley navigates while she yawns.
Soooo cute & funny. The body posture makes me think he’s either hanging on for dear life or totally immersed in checking stuff out!
Aw, that is so cute! Go, Pugsley, go!
This is one of our favorites of Pugs as well. We only wish our car was as calm during travels.
More fun than the typical Nav System, hahameow! I usually don’t let my cats ride out of their carriers in the car, but when my husband was alive, it was one of the ‘compromises’ of marriage that I acquiesed and I have the cutest photo of Disco stretched out on the dash tanning his belly in the Florida sun…I may just have to post it on Wordless Wednesday tomorrow!
Aw Pugsley, you’re so cute!
