Today’s wake up tactic was submitted by our petsitter, who watched us when our staff was out of town over the weekend. Here’s what Fetsje from Tenderpaws Petsitting wrote to our staff:
Well…….. here I thought that you might (sometimes) make up those wake up tactics. Not! I have experienced them myself.
I’ve been very busy this week and Friday I got up early at 5:30 a.m. to take care of woofers first. Around 8 I arrived at your house. I served breakfast, played and snuggled. Before going home to my own woofers, I decided to take a nap on your couch, thinking Romeo and Pugsley would snuggle up with me. Not so!
First I heard them walking back and forth. I kept dozing. After a while I heard howling, like they were preparing to get into a fight. My ears perked up, but too tired to get up, I decided to keep listening. Nothing happened. Dozed off again. All of a sudden somebody jumped on my stomach on to the back of the couch. That woke me up for sure.
Romeo was sitting on the back of the couch, with an innocent look on his face (I wish I had taken a picture!) And I found Pugs sleeping on the chair in the dining room. Maybe they thought they could fool me into giving them another breakfast. I don’t think so.
Last night I laid on the couch again, hiding from the trick or treaters. Turned on the TV. First Pugs jumps up on the TV table and sits in front of the screen! Later he sat on top of my chest, as close to my chin as possible. Don’t know if he was trying to choke me, but it definitely was hard to watch TV And he didn’t move!
These boys are something else
See why we LOVE our petsitter?

That is funny! I bet the jump on the belly really got a reaction out of the petsitter.
