Cats, Cleaning and Carpets

September 8, 2009

ps_catcarpetLast year, my staff made the switch to eco-friendly, non-toxic household cleaners. They felt that because Pugsley and I spend all of our time on the floor (except when we’re hogging the couch or the bed) they wanted as few chemicals near us as possible. Plus that Walking Creature was on the way so there would be one more of us on the floor. If you’re interested in learning more, here is some good info on green cleaning.

That’s why we are so thrilled that Clean+Green by Sea Yu is a sponsor of our efforts. They make amazing products specifically for pet messes. Their products really do work and best of all, they are environmentally friendly and non-toxic to pets and people!

I have to confess something. I don’t always go potty in my litter box. I know, I KNOW this is bad. But sometimes it just seems like the thing to do. I’m working on this. But Clean+Green makes a terrific product specifically for cat “oopsies” on the carpet. The staff was thrilled that the Carpet & Upholstery cleaner got rid of the stain AND the stinky. She even used it on an old stain and it worked. Hooray! This means I was in less trouble. And that is good.

Then, the other day, the Walking Creature grabbed the staff’s coffee mug and spilled it on the carpet and the Carpet & Upholstery cleaner worked on that too!

If you are interested in switching to environmentally friendly cleaners and need something that really works on pet messes, you should try this stuff. They have a whole line of cleaners for different materials and stains.

And, so you can try the Carpet & Upholstery cleaner for yourself, I am giving away one can of it to one of my lucky readers (in the U.S. only, sorry!)

Please visit the Clean+Green Web site and come back here and leave a comment telling me something new you learned about Clean+Green products. We’ll do a drawing on Monday, September 14 to select the winner.

Good luck! xoxo

I love my dogs but hate their messes. And it’s been challenging with the numerous foster dogs that have been learning love at our home. These little ones don’t always make it too the yard. The fact the product is easy to use and effective is so attractive!!!

I would LOVE to try the Clean + Green, I found out that a feed & animal supply store here in my small town carries it ! ( That’s GREAT news !! ) Also available at Petco which is an hour drive for me.

The De-Skunk formula is AWESOME ~ I personally don’t have a need for it, but do know what to recommend to friends in the future! I know some people who’ve used tomato juice, but had to give the dog SEVERAL baths to begin to eliminate the odor!
Sounds like a Great product, & even if I don’t win…..I’ll be heading to my local Acme Feed Store to buy a bottle!

We didn’t know that there were different ways of cleaning. We had always used enzyme-based cleaning products, but from what we can see, encapsulation-based cleaning products will work better! We just adopted a third kitteh that is having a bit of trouble adjusting to being inside all of the time, and encapsulation sounds like just what we need!

My mom was amazed that the cleaner is made from sugar cane! So not only will it clean up “my sisters” messes, cause I never do anything wrong! But it will give her that little pleasure of buying something sweet..lol

Pimp and Moo want to go green, too!

Did you know that Clean+Green requires not scrubbing, rubbing or rinsing? Really?! That sounds like magic to me… I’ll take it! ;)

I like the wood and tile cleaner for Cats. We have a cat that we took in that was a stray and she is very stubborn and has had many accidents on our hardwood floor!

My mom was so happy to hear about a new cleaning product that might have a chance at ridding her favorite carpet of my creative attempts at communicating displeasure at the introduction of that new dumb-as-a-rock cat she calls “my little puppy-wuppy” (I call him ‘hairball’ ’cause he’s always so happy it makes me wanna bring something up) into the house…
After going to one store after another that the website said carried the product, she finally learned it isn’t available in the place she calls Canada…I don’t know, I think that’s what she calls the big room with no top on the other side of the living room door and it gets wet sometime and has the biggest sunbeam you ever saw other times.
Anyway, she wanted you to know that some of your fans are also in this big room called Canada and they can’t get Clean + Green here. Maybe you can let them know on your twitter page? hmmm, twitter – like birds? mmmmmmmm birds…..I’m gonna sit in the window now and chatter….mmmmmm

p.s. mom loves your twitters as much as I love chattering at the birds on the other side of the window….

We learned that you can buy Clean+Green at PetSmart so we’re gonna have our mom go there and check it out!

I had no idea that they had a de-skunk product! I don’t need that, but the cleaner you are giving away sounds like it would be great!

I think my meowmom would love the concrete stain remover. Me and my sissies and brothers don’t always tell the staff when we have eliminated hairballs. We didn’t know they leave a mark on the concrete. It would be wonderful to gift the staff a can of the concrete cleaner. We learned that even concrete can come clean.

i would love to try the carpet and upholstery cleaner!

i like that they have a product that is safe for birds because they are VERY messy and alot of cleaning products are bad for them! so that is something i learned from their site!
