Ok, I have 4 kitties (wait, technically 5, even though I haven’t picked up Barney from the Vet yet) – here are their answers (oldest to youngest)

Floyd: “French Fries. Give me French Fries. I want those French Fries. Why aren’t you giving me French Fries? PLEASE give me French Fries. If you don’t I will touch them. Ha, now you have to give it to me. Wait, why didn’t you give that to me. French Fries!!!!”

Kirzon: “Let me under the blanket. Please, blanket. Share the blanket. Wait, maybe if I tap your shoulder. Oh, thanks for that – I love being under the blanket”

Lola: “Go away, I am sleeping. No, don’t move me. Fine, you move me but I will just move to the same place again. Ha Ha, told you so.”

Virgil: “Bzzzzz” (he moves so fast sometimes I have to assume he would just sound like a blip going by)

Barney: “Hi. Thanks for wanting to be my mom.”

6:05 a.m. Staff gets up. Pretends she’s walking out the door to feed me but really she’s going to trick me into leaving the room and then shut the door.

6:06 a.m. Romeo’s too smart for this. Sit back down on pillow. Groom.

6:06:30 a.m. Staff picks me up, carries me out door. Door shut. Boo.

Wednesday Wake Up Tactic...

Tear through room at full speed, jump on bed, run across staff’s stomach, jump off bed (make sure there is a loud “thud” on floor) run out the door, run back in and repeat process until staff is laughing so hard they must get up and feed you.

Important Reminders...

It’s nearing the end of the month so I have some very important reminders for you:

#1 We’re still taking nominations for our July FURPOWER recipient. Fill out our submission form and tell your friends too. The more submissions your organization receives, the better chance you have of winning the drawing. Only one submission per person, please. Deadline for July submissions is June 30, 2009 at 9 p.m. EST.

Pet Peeves...

Top 10 Annoying Things About My Staff:

1. They take up way too much room on the couch.
2. I have to ASK for dinner; they really should be more on top of things.
3. They are lazy – they sleep in until at least 6:30 a.m. and I’m HUNGRY.
4. The litterbox is only cleaned once a day. Shameful.
5. Seriously, who cares if I sleep all day?
6. They think fake chicken flavor actually covers up the taste of medicine – UGHS.
7. TUNA is not a “treat.” Grr.
8. The male staff member snores.
9. So what if I don’t have “outdoor survival skills”? I wanna chase birds and squirrels! Let me OUT!
10. Why on EARTH did they bring that Crawling Creature into my life? Is it going away soon?

Contest! If Cats Could Talk…....

Okay, so my friends at Feline Pine and I have cooked up a really fun contest for y’all. It’s our “If Cats Could Talk” contest. Now, clearly we all know cats can talk (and blog and tweet, etc.) but we’re just going to have to humor our humans a bit here.

So here’s how this works. In the comments section, tell me what you’d say if your silly, silly humans could understand you. For example, I would say, “GIVE ROMEO MORE TUNA.” You may have different priorities.

We’ll be collecting entries until June 29th at 9 p.m. EST and then do a drawing to determine the winner, who will be announced on June 30th. And I am so sorry but only U.S. entries please.

So what does this lucky winner get? $150 worth of FREE all-natural Feline Pine cat litter! Let me tell you, I can attest that this stuff is awesome. It’s completely natural and toxin-free so there’s no danger to Pugsley, me or even the Crawling Creature who (unfortunately) also hangs out on the floor with us a lot these days.

Twitter #Pawpawty This Weekend!...

The June Twitter #PawPawty will be held this weekend, the 13th and 14th of June. The Pawty will start at 2 p.m. EST on the 13th and will rave for a full 24hours until the 14th. You can check out the times on the world clock. More details on the party can be found at organizer Frugal Dougal’s blog.

I am so pleased to announce that the #pawpawty proceeds go to support my June FURPOWER organization, Angels for Animals!

The party theme is “Back to the ‘80s.” As you know (or your staff will tell you if you weren’t around), for an ’80’s costume, almost anything goes. So here is my costume for the #pawpawty. You can get your own here.
