We’re close to wrapping up another successful month of our FURPOWER $1 Donation Challenge. GREAT job raising money this month for Kitten Rescue. The grand total will be close to $2,000 including on and off-line donations. THANK YOU!
Now it’s time to select another organization to help in May.
Please comment below with the name of the rescue organization you’d like to submit into our drawing. The organizations must: be a U.S. organization, a designated 501c3 non-profit and include cats in its efforts.
Also, to be fair I can’t accept “anonymous” submissions so please leave your name OR email me at romeo at romeothecat dot com with your submission.
We’ll be taking submissions until April 30, 9 p.m. EST and doing our random drawing and announcing the winner on Friday May 1.
Here’s how to increase the chances of your favorite being selected:
1. Tell your friends to come here and comment! The more submissions for your organization, the better chance you have of winning.
2. Subscribe to this blog and leave an additional comment telling me you did!
3. Tweet about this campaign and leave a comment telling me you did (with your twitter handle).
4. Blog about this on your blog! And leave a comment linking to your post.
Pugs and I can’t wait to help another hardworking, deserving organization!
Email me with questions at romeo at romeothecat dot com.

We follow our friends advice and recommend the Beaufort Community Cat Project.
Dearest Romeo,
I support the Beaufort Community Cat Project for your May winner! They have helped improve the lives of many many cats in our area!
BCCP please.
I would like to cast my vote for Kansas City Siamese Rescue. We are a small but mighty kitty rescue. Well, mainly a kitty rescue. We have one volunteer whose heart is so big that she can’t stand tbe idea of pregnant moms and babies being euthanized and so also fosters momma dogs and puppies and our group also helps adopt them out to wonderful homes. i am also a foster mom. It is such a fulfilling feeling to see a cat that was sad or sick or abandoned make a person’s family whole. With kitten season upon us we could rally use all the help we can receive to spay the moms and babies and find homes for them.
Thank you for all tbat you are doing.
Merry
I would like to vote for Kansas City Siamese Rescue, I wouldn’t adopt cats from anyone else!! They do all breads not just Siamese and are even doing dogs and puppies. They also take cats back that they adopted out many years ago and try to find them new homes. They are AMAZING!!!
I would like to nominate Catnip rescue organization in Folsom PA – info@catnipcats.org
Catnip is a no-kill cat rescue and adoption organization.

Hi Romeo I would like to nominate the BCCP for May.
Hi Romeo! I would like to nominate the Beaufort Community Cat Project for your May donation recipient. The BCCP is an all volunteer Trap-Neuter-Return organization and they run solely on donations.
Thank you!
We vote for Kansas City Siamese Rescue. Our mommy works really hard at resuing cats and we love them. Especially the kittens.
I would like to nominate Kansas City Siamese Rescue. Even though they deal mostly with cats, they found it in their hearts to take in a litter of abandoned puppies and their mother. I was lucky enough to adopt one — the first dog I’ve ever had — and he is absolutely wonderful! Everyone at KC Siamese Rescue has been so helpful and informative as I brought the puppy into my family of 4 cats. I could not have done it without them. Please reward this wonderful organization.

My vote is for Kansas City Siamese Rescue! They have been rescuing cats and kittens for 11 years and has now branched out to dogs and puppies.
We have gotten all our cats from Kansas City Siamese Rescue. Great, professional rescue!
I would like to nominate Kansas City Siamese Resque. They have been wonderful to me and my four persian cats that I adopted through their organization. I got two brothers in 2003. They
were abandoned at 3 weeks old and they nursed them along as kittens before I adopted them. They were beautiful and so loving, and continue to bey treasures. In fact they were so delightful that last year I decided to adopt another persian kitten. Rene Martinez told me that they had a couple of cats that were abandoned on the streets and nearly starved before they were found. They had been shaved because their fur was matted and dirty. Rene allowed me to see a vet because the kittens (it turned out) had caught a virus. With the help of the vet they kittens survived and are happy and playful today.
I am so pleased with the treatment of these cats that I have urged others to adopt all sort of cats through Kansas City Siamese Resque. The people who run the organization are so loving and concerned with their animals. I am asking their organization to be rewarded.
